  • Dietary patterns: Weak evidence suggest that a diet high in refined sugar and saturated fats increase the risk of ADHD, while a healthy diet characterized by a high intake of fruits and vegetable may prevent ADHD and hyperactivity (2)

  • Vitamin D: Supplementation as an adjunct therapy to methylphenidate may improve symptoms (5)

  • Omega 3: There are mixed findings on the effect of supplementation with omega 3 fatty acids on ADHD symptoms (3, 4)
